Robert Garrett From Hackensack University Medical Center: HackensackUMC Grows From Humble Beginnings to Major Medical Institution
MARCH 14, 2016
Hackensack University Medical Center can trace its roots back to a blizzard back in the late 1800's when residents in northern New Jersey could not get across the Hudson River to get the care they needed. Since that time it has grown into the flagship of one of the largest health networks in the metropolitan area.
Robert C. Garrett, MHA, President and CEO of the Hackensack University Health Network discussed how the hospital has changed over the years and what it has meant to not only their local area but the larger health care scene as well. As the health network has continued to grow Garrett's responsbilities have changed, leading to his resignation as president and CEO of the hospital to focus on the Hackensack University Health Network as a whole.
