The field of research for alzheimer's disease has changed drastically in just over a year as more is learned about amyloids and their role in patients developing the condition.

Rudolph Tanzi, PhD, from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School discussed how work in the field has progressed and what it can mean for treatment. For his work in the field Tanzi was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Interesting People in the pioneers category.
