Even as patients adapt alternative and complementary medicine in other parts of their overall health there is concern that these steps could work against the overall treatment picture for patients with hepatitis C.

Medications to treat hepatitis C are making the condition treatable if not curable in many cases. However, one obstacle in the process remains the cost which can make it prohibitive to patients who need it most. However, while it is an issue, it is not insurmountable for future treatments.
