For patients with seasonal allergies the prescription medications available may not be enough to help with their symptoms and shots may not be an option they want to consider. Newly developed sublingual immunotherapies have been developed to help these patients manage their daily lives.

Hendrik Nolte, MD, PhD, who serves as the clinical leader for Merck's allergy immunotherapy program discussed how patients allergic to grass and other allergens are getting help now with more treatments on the horizon during the American College of Allergy Asthma & Immunology's annual meeting in San Antonion.
