As medications on the market get new indications and surgical procedures get further developed patients diagnosed with heart failure will continue to see better results in care and treatment.
There may not be a cure for heart failure, but Kathleen Tong, MD from UC Davis Health System said the medications available help improve the daily lives of patients. When medication is not enough Tong said procdures including the implatation of a ventricular assist device or a full heart transplant can be viable and beneficial options for patients as well.
