Cynthia Harden from Mount Sinai Health System: Looking at Inheritance Risk of Epilepsy and Moving the Field Forward

As more is learned about epilepsy and new treatment methods are introduced to the market there is reason to be optimistic for patients while doctors work to provide the best care possible on an individual basis.

Speaking during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology in Vancouver, Cynthia L. Harden, MD, from Mount Sinai Health System discussed her recent election as the new chairperson of the epilepsy section of the Academy. Through that role Harden said the goal is to help educate colleagues in the community on the latest news and find ways to help move the field forward.
