Anthony Feinstein: Improving Treatment and Education of Depression and Cognition in Multiple Sclerosis
JUNE 22, 2016
There is still much more to be learned about the effects of depression and cognitive impairment in patients with multiple sclerosis but there are steps being taken to address these issues and help better inform patients of the impact both can play in their lives.
Working at the University of Toronto Anthony Feinstein, MD, PhD, has been working on learning more about both of these areas but said there is much more work to be done as his research continues. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers Feinstein said it is important for doctors to have what can be a difficult discussion with their patients about these issues to help them prepare for what could potentially be in their future.
