Treating a condition like multiple sclerosis presents a number of problems for patients and healthcare professionals alike. Those challenges can change and develop over a patient's lifetime as well.

Tanuja Chitnis, MD, from Brigham and Women's Hospital discussed the differences in treating women with the condition during the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers in Indianapolis. From women who are considering pregnancy to those going through menopause each stage has different requirements to keeping patients as healthy as possible.
