Andrew Hartwick from The Ohio State University: TBI Bursting Into Public Attention
MAY 03, 2016
Andrew Hartwick, PhD, The College of Optometry at The Ohio State University shared that there were several patients who came to the clinic without showing any symptoms and upon completing eye exams appeared to have 20/20 vision. However, they still complained light sensitivity was debilitating to their quality of life. As such, he wanted to understand why regardless of normal, standard vision tests, there was clearly something wrong with their sight.
Hartwick and team are looking to learn more about the types of altered light adaptations, by potentially refine the pupil test as a diagnostic test.
