The treatment of pancreatitis has taken great strides in recent years including the ability to help patients through non-surgical options.
Rosario Ligresti, MD, the chief of gastroenterology and director of the Pancreas Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, now known as HackensackUMC, discussed how far the field has come in just a few short years and what it has meant to patient care as a whole. Ligresti said now that there are less invasive treatment options available patients are able to be treated easier and with better results.
