In a time when doctors are busier than ever and patients still want to feel a personal connection to their health care  professionals, finding new ways to have that balance has become a field of study for now and the future.

Jason Wasfy, MD, from Massachusetts General Hospital discussed work that his institution has done to implement this system and how it has helped patients get the care they want from doctors they know without having to go to new doctors depending on their condition. This presentation was made during the American Heart Association's annual meeting in Orlando, with Wasfy noting that in some cases sending patients to speicialists was still an important part of the medical treatment process.
