Joon Lee from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center: Advances in Cholesterol Control Help Move Cardiology Forward

Medical science and research has helped move many parts of cardiology from potentially fatal conditions to more chronic issues for patients and doctors to address. Cholesterol control is moving in that direction thanks to new advancements in medication and surgical options.
Joon Lee, MD, from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center discussed some of the highlights from this year's meeting of the American College of Cardiology which was held in Chicago. Located between the Cleveland Clinic and Philadelphia Lee said the community based approach the institution takes to patient care is a small sampling of what life in the country is like as a whole and can help improve patient care elsewhere.
