As patients go through the process of treating their plaque psoriasis there can be different levels of success depending on a number of situations. As a result, measuring success can be a challenge as well.

Jerry Bagel, MD, of the Psoriasis Treatment Center of Central New Jersey, said that as patients go through the process of treating their plaque psoriasis there can be different levels of success depending on a number of situations.

Particularly, patients that do 90% better, tend to stay 90% better, but those who only are 75% better, “it seems to wear off over time,” he said.

In addition, the percent of body surface area with psoriasis, such as less than 2%, can have an impact on patient satisfaction or anxiety. As a result of these factors, measuring success can be a challenge as well.
