Work being done to treat and cure hepatitis C today could make it almost a non-issue for future generations thanks to groups like the World Health Organization (WHO) and others putting the focus on parts of the world that need help in this area the most.
At the International Liver Congress (EASL 2016) in Barcelona, Spain, Stefan Wiktor, MD, team lead of the Global Hepatitis Programme at the WHO discussed what he would like to see as the future of treatment for not only hepatitis C which has made great strides in recent years, but also hepatitis B.
