Che Colpitts from the University of Strasbourg: Continuing to Make Strides in Hepatitis C Treatment
APRIL 13, 2016
While many forms of hepatitis C are now nearing curability, there are some genotypes which are harder to treat and some patient populations proving harder to reach. Research is being done on several fronts to address both issues.
Che Colpitts, PhD, from the Institute of Viral and Liver Diseases at the University of Strasbourg discussed this topic during the International Liver Meeting (EASL 2016) held in Barcelona, Spain. Colpitts said the research started in mouse models and the team hopes to begin clinical trials in the near future to move this work forward.
