Speaking at the annual meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers Patricia K. Coyle, MD, from Stony Brook Medicine discussed the benefits of specialized multiple sclerosis treatment centers and what patients should look for when they are not located near one of these centers. While not all neurologists may specialize in treating the condition Coyle said it is important for patients to see doctors who are comfortable treading MS whether it is in the relapsing or progressive forms.
