Depending on where people live their ability to do a simple exercise like walking can be greatly affected. How they choose to incorporate walking into their lives can go a long way in determining their overall health.

Maria Chiu, MSc, PhD, from the Institute For Clinical Evaluative Services at the University of Toronto discussed research done on the topic during the American Heart Association's annual scientific sessions in Orlando.
