Looking at Marijuana Secondhand Smoke and Vascular Health

As more states legalize marijuana for medical and recreational purposes, doctors are taking a new look at how it can affect their patient's overall health, including what it does to their heart.

Studying the affect of marjijuana secondhand smoke on rats, Matthew Springer, PhD, from the University of California at San Francisco, and his team compared the results to those of previous studies involving rats and tobacco smoke and saw some very noticable differences. The results were presented at the 2014 American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Chicago.
