While many people get their flu vaccine on a yearly basis there are some who are still hesitant while others simply refuse. New modes of delivery and new guidelines aim to help answer some lingering questions patients may have.

John Kelso, MD, FACAAI from the Scripps Clinic in San Diego discussed how the field of flu vaccination has developed in order to show that it is a safe and viable option for most patients during the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology's annual meeting in San Antonio.

 




The flu vaccine is not a new concept in the medical community but there are still lessons that can be learned and misconceptions that have to be overcome in order to better educate patients about the dangers of the illness and others like it.
